Born in Guadalajara, Mexico and raised in the vibrant soccer culture of South Omaha, Manny Lira brings a unique blend of creativity, leadership, and passion to Eagles Nebraska FC. A proud alumnus of Omaha South High School, Manny's early achievements include captaining the Packers, earning First Team All-State honors, and receiving one of the school's highest distinctions: induction into the South High School Hall of Fame. Lira continued his rise at Bellevue University, where he was a 2x First Team All-MCAC selection, an NAIA All-American Honorable Mention, and delivered clutch performances in the national tournament. Known for his composure under pressure and sharp attacking instincts, he led by example as captain throughout much of his college career. His post-collegiate journey has included stints with semi-pro and professional clubs such as Midland Sockers (TX), Bugeaters FC, Red Fury FC, and Omaha Kings FC (indoor). In 2019, he became part of Nebraska soccer history when he was contracted by Union Omaha during their inaugural USL League One season. Off the field, Manny is the founder of Lira’s Futbol Training, a development program that empowers young athletes to grow in both skill and character. His commitment to community and youth development reflects the same drive and passion he brings to the pitch. Now with Eagles Nebraska FC, Manny Lira adds veteran leadership, technical flair, and a deep-rooted connection to the local soccer community.
